Boating Experience

Chase grew up on the water and has always been drawn to it. His love of watersports started at the young age of 5 years old, and he hasn’t spent a summer since then not being around boats. Watersports stream through Chase’s DNA – surfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, fishing, sailing, kiteboarding… and the list goes on. Chase is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of boat ownership, from his own 30+ years of personal experience, including 6 career years at a Malibu dealership – ballast systems, technology, outfitting older boats, proper boat maintenance, and more. Passions aren’t teachable, and you’ll quickly realize that Chase has an incredible passion for boats. He wants all boat owners and water enthusiasts to understand the risks and excitement of boating in a safe and confident way.

INSTRUCTION

Chase started teaching watersports in 2006. Working for a traveling camp (10K Wakes Wakeboard Camp) during college, he spent the summers traveling to various metro area lakes. Following the closure of the company, Chase started teaching private lessons on his own. Recently, his two boys and their friends occupy his boat grasping for instruction. It’s pretty awesome to see the little groms get excited about being pulled behind the boat. Chase will not only instruct on these new skills, but also encourage confidence, and promote team-building to students. He knows that some of the students may be top athletes, or not interested in main-stream sports; coming from all walks of life, watersports and being on a board can be a positive outlet for anyone. Whether it’s wakeboarding, surfing, waterskiing, or kneeboarding, Chase is stoked to get you on the water.

Chase picked up his first sponsor in 2006. He then went on to complete on a national scale while adding a few more sponsors to the list. Competing in cable park competitions, wake-board competitions, filming video parts and shooting photography consumed his life for the better part of 10 years. You maybe saw him on a Highway-94 billboard, in wakeboarding magazines, or on ‘Visit MN’ advertisements. Chase was sponsored by some of the top-performing watersport companies, and is able to consult you on gear that fits your budget, lifestyle, and skillset needs.
